Replacement of cold cathode lighting, which was past the end of its functioning life, in a London gallery.
We carried out the replacement of cold cathode lighting which was past the end of its functioning life in a London gallery. The lighting was installed within the coves and high-level lanterns. The existing cold cathode was installed in two colour temperatures 2200k and 6000k both temperatures were controlled independently by 1-10v analogue dimming this ultimately gave the client the ability to choose a range of colour temperatures between 2200k and 6000k by mixing the two colours.
This functionality was required as part of the newly specified lighting system which also had to fit in the same location (including control gear) and give a similar projection of light. Part of the project required upgrading of the controls from 1-10V to DMX providing the client with additional functions and a more reliable, future proof method of control.
